Software developer & technology consultant
I build the web software businesses run on.
I design, build and run web applications, from core business systems to the websites in front of them. Architect, team lead, or the one writing the code: whichever the work needs.
1997: Building for the web, professionally, ever since
Since 2005: Running one certification platform, still in active development
275M: Domains processed a day by a system I built
50+: Cities where we offer managed hosting

Core business application: TEAM Coalition training & certification
Alcohol-service training and certification used by stadiums and venues. I have built and run it since 2005, and I am now taking it to .NET 10 with audit logging, proctored testing and a security overhaul. Nearly a million people are on record.

Data at scale: DomainWatch
Finds the lookalike domains behind phishing and brand impersonation. Every day it ingests registration data from ICANN and other sources, about 275 million domains across 1,114 top-level domains, and searches a 2.3-billion-row similarity index with heuristics that flag what was registered to deceive. It began in Python and grew into C#, built with AI-assisted development and engineered for modest hardware instead of a large cloud bill.

Websites, hosting & marketing: From custom builds to brochure sites
High-end custom websites and simple brochure sites, designed, built and kept running. Managed hosting offered in 50+ cities, with DNS, web application firewalls, email authentication and transactional mail handled as part of the job, not as an afterthought. Then the digital marketing that gets them found: SEO, analytics, Google Ads and social media. I also publish Spot Check, an on-demand broken link checker, on WordPress.org.

Earlier work: Associations, agencies, products
- Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), 15+ years: a scholarship program that replaced a paper process and disbursed millions of dollars a year, and a separate dues payment platform for about 450 chapters, which I defended against a $3.15M card-testing campaign.
- U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): modernized the Risk-Based Targeting Model’s reporting engine.
- National Center for Education Statistics (NCES): on-demand statistical reports over federal survey data.
- Campaign Financial Services: online political donations kept within Federal Election Commission rules.
- Maryland Hospital Association: statewide clinical rotation scheduling.
- RelationshipPath: a live six-degrees search, proven on millions of seeded profiles and 141M relationships, on a single server.
Security research: CVE‑2026‑39117
A server-side request forgery in a commercial monitoring product: one unauthenticated request could return live cloud credentials. I found it while troubleshooting false downtime alerts for a client, reported it, and caught the first patch being incomplete.
About
I was hired to build web applications in 1997 and never stopped. In 2002 I founded Glimmernet Technologies, and I still run it: sometimes as the architect directing the work, sometimes as the lead keeping a team pointed the same way, often as the developer in the code.
I live in Vienna, Austria, and work with clients primarily in the United States and Europe. These days most of my work is C# and .NET on SQL Server, with WordPress and PHP where the web calls for it, and AI-assisted development throughout.
Before Vienna, I spent years leading volunteer emergency response with Montgomery County CERT.
